applelinuxwindows
At my school we use a command line version of Red Hat Linux 9.0.93 and I want to install it on my PC :) Where can I find it?
markwolfe Veteran Posted April 2, 2008 Veteran Share Posted April 2, 2008 Why on earth do you need to match that? What tasks will you be doing that require a specific version? I recommend downloading Fedora, instead. You will be able to do your chkconfig and other RedHat specific stuff in Fedora, yet a system that is much more modern. Because they dont update the kernel, they dont update anything so having a OS that is the same as the one at my school ensures compatibility. markwolfe Veteran Posted April 2, 2008 Veteran Share Posted April 2, 2008 Not really. And there is no 9.0.93. Just 9 If you still think you need to match exactly, here is Red Hat 9, and it seemed to be active: http://iso.linuxquestions.org/red-hat/red-...hrike/#main_cds Do you know what options they have installed, so you can match their configuration? markwolfe Veteran Posted April 2, 2008 Veteran Share Posted April 2, 2008 The "official" (non beta) releases are the ones that aren't grayed out. I swear to god I am trying to help you. Good luck with finding an transitional interim beta set from many years ago. (go with RH9 from the link I gave you, or get Fedora)
