GT5 Prologue - online racing is a playground for spoilers?

GT5 Prologue online is tiresome.

It seems to be a case of picking the low-end of the race selections available cars then defending/blocking your lead for the meagre two/three/five laps.

Pathetic, really.

Not helped by the availability of the racing line, either.

2 things to fix:

1. There should be no driving line available in online races.

2. We need more races with more than 2/3/5 laps.

It's too easy to just block anyone trying to overtake you and the collision penalty is virtually non-existent as a working feature.

In reality, there are penalties for driving to block someone who is clearly going to overtake you i.e. you can't simply move sideways to block someone who is outbraking you. also, such a move would clearly disable both cars or at least hamper their efficiently badly.

None of this happens in GT5 - if you block someone, you get a nice speed boost.

GT5 prides itself on realism yet fails to adhere to the most basic of racing rules.

As a Forza player and someone who enjoys racing games but not enough to treat it as a second job.

I don't see why the racing is so bad. it helps close the gap between the more skilled and the not so skilled players giving a much bigger pool of potential players. wich is only good. but I lso just use the braking line not the full racing line, and more as a guide since it gives a lot of playing room, depending on the car.

however without car damage and limited penalties for bumping, I can see it's a problem, however the addition of damage like in Forza should remove the problems with the racing line. afterall, the slightest ump and your wings/spoilers are damaged and you will easily be overtaken by non damaged cars.

Also there's no way to create custom games in GT5P ? In forza the host decides what driving aids can be used, what cars can be used and how many rounds on the track. This seems like fairly standard options in multiplayer racing, and if GT5P don't have even this ability, then it seemslike more of a demo than is claimed.
