[Ultimate Fighter] Team Forrest vs Team Rampage

Anyone watching it this season

I think Rampage is comedic!

Great idea for the first day as well fighting each other!

Can't wait for next week!

Hell yeah, I'm watching it this season. Just like the one's before it.

Rampage has a great sense of humor, his comments had me lol'ing.

Did you see the look on some of the fighters faces when they found out they had fight just to make it to the house? A few looked like deer in the headlights.

Yeah that was legendary, some of the knock outs as well and that bloke that Rampage was friends with I felt sorry for him and the bloke who beat him got in Rampages face would of loved him to knock him out :p

Wow, that first dude got rocked buy that right hand to the jaw. He dropped like a sack of potatoes. Then that moaning or whatever sound he was making, cracked me up. When he was talking to Rampage, he didn't know what happened or where he was.

Then a few fights later the guy from Mississippi that lost, in the post fight interview, his face was a mess.

That dude that got knocked out so bad, you gotta hope he's allright. He got hit a good 2-3 times after he was already out. I think the last fight was the best one so far though.

*edit* Found this posted on some MMA forums regarding the dude that got knocked out.

After the brutal KO of Simmler everyone has been wondering "does he have brain damage? does he have permanent brain damage?" In the post fight video on spike.com seen here (http://www.spike.com/episode/26676/st/2969923) one of the doctors says that it was a grade III concussion. Grade III concussions are very common in football and boxing and shouldn't have a permanent effect on Simmler. (Dolphins QB Trent Green suffered a Grade III last year from a brutal hit for comparison)

From aan.com (American Academy of Neurology)

Grade 3:

1. Any loss of consciousness, either brief (seconds) or prolonged (minutes)

Grade 3 concussion is usually easy to recognize?the athlete is unconscious for any period of time.

-Vacant stare (befuddled facial expression)

-Delayed verbal and motor responses (slow to answer questions or follow instructions)

-Confusion and inability to focus attention (easily distracted and unable to follow through with normal activities)

-Disorientation (walking in the wrong direction, unaware of time, date. and place)

-Slurred or incoherent speech (making disjointed or incomprehensible statements)

-Gross observable incoordination (stumbling, inability to walk tandem/straight line)

-Emotions out of proportion to circumstances (distraught, crying for no apparent reason)

-Memory deficits (exhibited by the athlete repeatedly asking the same question that has already been answered, or inability to memorize and recall 3 of 3 words or 3 of 3 objects in 5 minutes)

-Any period of loss of consciousness (paralytic coma, unresponsiveness to arousal)

Hopefully he will be fine, but to answer the questions of some people he should be fine. He might have symptoms for up to a month after the incident but then should return to normal. However once you have suffered a Grade 2 or 3 concussion you are more prone to have another if you are hit again, much more prone than somebody who hasn't suffered a concussion, so this could be terrible for his MMA career.

Unfortunately I didnt find that funny. The fact that little prick showed no compassion or any form of concern goes to show how immature and unprofessional he is.

Having faught in MMA multiple times, not once did I not check in on my opponent afterwards. Regardless if it was a KO or not.

Not to mention, seeing Dana White condone his actions and also show no concern, really angers me. Dana is really becoming a prime example of white trash. Which brings me to my next point.

The UFC is rapidly going down hill. The level of immaturity shown especially on 'The Ultimate Fighter' really is not good for the sport at all. Its truly degrading MMA, and it reflects poorly on the rest of us. Seeing these idiots get worse each season, getting drunk and breaking stuff all the time, is getting old. The selection process really needs to be more 'select' and picky.

Anyways, Im gunning for that little piece of garbage, and he will lose in the first round of the competition.

That second episode was awesome but that knock out was so bad, when he was moaning I actually felt for the guy and I agree with Chris saying he just went round shouting and thumbs up it just seemed unsporting to me but the other fights were good, it would be interesting to see how many from Rampages corner actually won it seemed none but I think it was 2.

A funny moment was when that bloke was throwing kicks out and dana said to Rampage "you think your in pride?" I lol'd at that.

The previews for later on look crazy they ruin the house it seems.

Well, if had been me that got knocked out, when I had a chance to watch the video of it. I would've still got a laugh out of it... but anyway. A lack of sportsmanship to not go and check on the guy you just knocked the **** out.

Yeah, up kicks are allowed in the UFC.

Looks like they destroy the house more than they did in any other season. It's too bad, thats a damn nice house.

Just rewatched next weeks promo and it looks like they send someone home I wonder who screws up.

Evidently someone has a skin disease and thats why they get sent off. Supposedly its Paul Bradley, who signed with EliteXC.

I always thought they were but I think when Forrest beat Shogun it put him in that class.

They've both been Light Heavyweight the whole time :)

I do like Rampage though, I think he's misunderstood. He's just joking around half the time.

Yeah, it was Paul to go, herpes on his neck.

Can't believe Jess never got that choke on Dolce in the first round. He finally got it in nice and deep when he did.

That was a sloppy fight, looked extremely amateur. I was wondering what the dude had, I thought it was herpes but never knew it would be on someone's neck :x

I have to agree, that was a pretty crappy fight overall. It was pure wrestling that was never good wrestling.

They looked over excited. I have a hard time thinking we got to just let one of them go. They both should have gotten the boot. Either that or give them more time to train.

  • 1 month later...

Did anyone watch yesterday's episode? I had to turn it off after that imbecile pee'd his pants on tv. What a sorry excuse for an athlete and a total disrespect for the sport. I cannot believe how much TUF looks so much like a cheap real world episode on MTV. Shame on Dana for allowing that to air.

Any idea what happened with the limo window being smashed out? Some one's getting kicked out. Hopefully it's that jackass who ****ed himself.

I just got the email through saying watch it, looks pretty intense!

He's such a jackass.. i'm glad he's gone. He was a decent fighter... but i think either of the 2 finalists could have beaten him anyway. I like Amir.. he reminds me so much of Forrest when he was on TUF1. C.B can be so arrogant sometimes.. and although he's got alot of talent he's got to work his ass off on cardio, cause both of his last fights he was exposed for being gassed in the 2nd round.
