DragonKid
I applied some updates to Ubuntu (7.10) yesterday and now I can't access the CompizConfig Settings manager. Is there something I did wrong? It's possible that I did something wrong, considering that I'm new to Linux. Is there a way to revert the changes I made? Please help!
Vista
Use synaptic manager to (re)install the compizconfig-settings-manager.
DragonKid
Use synaptic manager to (re)install the compizconfig-settings-manager. I tried doing that just now and the only thing I can do is remove it. The reinstall option is greyed-out. Do I need to remove it and try again. How will it affect my desktop, considering that it's partly running right now? I'm comfortable with the Terminal, if that's an option.

You just won't have all of the eye candy or transparency.
