Asian Guy
It should be made more simple to avoid confusion, I don't even know which subforum I last making a topic into.

shihchiun
It's either have a bunch of forums/subforums or have a bunch of topics lumped into forums that are too general. Which would you prefer? By the way, you can hide forums/subforums you don't want to see by clicking on the "-" next to the forum.
Minifig
Just a little hint for you two. There's a on the side of each forum center: and when you click it, it changes to a respectively. Click the minus key, and it'll hide that entire category. You don't have to see it ever again until you click the plus button. It saves your settings on to your account. I've hidden most of the forums I don't use, and the forum list has gotten a lot easier to manage.

Joel
It have too much forums, the subforums should be merged with the same category. No, not really. You can track your posts from your profile page, or using My Controls. It would a much bigger mess if all forums were lumped together.
TheRealDave
There's nothing wrong with how the forums are. Users have enough control over which forums they want to see/view. Just change it to how you want :)
AgEnTsMiTh
This is a large community and over the years, the need to create new sections became evident. You can customize the way you want things laid out pretty efficiently. I suggest you look into it. Other then that, maybe your wanting a smaller community to participate in because this will not change.

I guess they (IPS) didn't want to waste database space on these settings?
Rudy
each subforum gets alot of posts so clumping them together would make it really hard to keep track of posts. I love the way the forum is laid out right now

wctaiwan
Post search makes me agree with the general consensus. I think the problem would solve itself soon. On topic, most useful forums have forum listings as long (or longer) as Neowin's. Don't see a problem here. wctaiwan Edited April 13, 2008 by wctaiwan
+jamesyfx Subscriber² Posted April 13, 2008 Subscriber² Share Posted April 13, 2008 It is kind of long, but they're all active forums. So theres no reason to move/amalgamate any.

JMann Veteran Posted April 13, 2008 Veteran Share Posted April 13, 2008 Exactly, maybe this forum should look how gaiaonline organize its subforums. It's simple either Minimize some Forums you don't use, which an earlier post explained. Or turn up the speed in your Scroll wheel on your mouse scrolls for quicker browsing.
wctaiwan
Exactly, maybe this forum should look how gaiaonline organize its subforums. Maybe you should just stay at Gaia Online or whatever and leave if you think you are more intelligent than all the staff members and 200,000 members here, none of which has raised an issue like this before. Actually, what I don't like is the way you say this as if it's an obvious fact that the forum listing is too long and that apparently you're right and everyone should just do what you say since you're evidently superior to everyone and thus were able to spot such a major defect. IMO it's okay to give suggestions, but not okay to give it this way. Alright, alright, I know what's coming for me, but this is so worth it. >.> wctaiwan
