Dc'1
And I love it, lol. Dont know why, there is just something about it I like. I'm still dual-booting with Vista though. The only thing I dont like about it is not having MsgPlus for Pidgin lol. Still not an expert at it obviously though...
4CxbqFxVnstmA Veteran Posted April 13, 2008 Veteran Share Posted April 13, 2008 Cool! Yes, it is different. But I've managed to get mine to do everything I'd done with Windows, and more. So I'm happy. Although I'm using the Hardy Heron beta now, I can't wait till the final :D

Eventually you'll discover that you're using Windows less and less and you'll finally decided to dump Vista altogether. That's what happened when I was dual booting XP and Ubuntu. BTW Emesene has something like MsgPlug as a plugin already included. Go to Gnome-look.org and they got icon sets for it that look exactly like MSN's as well. That's what happened when I was dual booting XP and Ubuntu.... That's what happened to me 5 years ago. I just find that Linux fits me much better than Windows did (though I do like XP). It doesn't fit everyone, but glad the original poster is enjoying it. (Y)I never liked having to compile most programs on Ubuntu.... But I am addicted to it nonetheless! If you had to compile "most programs", you weren't doing something right.

4CxbqFxVnstmA Veteran Posted April 13, 2008 Veteran Share Posted April 13, 2008 does anyone know... will that beta, auto update to the final when it's releaseD? Yes, it already uses the Hardy Heron repos and all. When the final is released, you won't have to download the whole thing, it will just update to the final.

I rarely have to do that.www.getdeb.net I'm thinking that he might be a "bleeding edger" and is interested in following daily builds or some such. Linux is good for that, and for the more conservative (like me) who prefer to just wait until it hits the repos. :)
