Gran Turismo 5 Prologue New Update

Recommended Posts

Hehe. That really made me chuckle. Funny post indeed. :D

I agree, I detested that car in this game, but it was the whole point of getting from stage to stage. I'd hate to drive that car up a steep hill. I hope the full thing is harder than Prologue.

yepp

by the way try driving that car on the Alpines the mountains... When u are climbing the hill well lets just say the car does not really cooparete much :)

ah god i hate it.

Sorry but you can't advertise a game as a realistic driving simulation and then only simulate the perfect side of the driving. You need the contrast of ugliness to appreciate true beauty.

Does this mean we should not have realistic blood spatter affects in games because you may not get shot throughout the entirety of the game? Should aeroplanes maintain their shape and viability in flying simulations even if you fly them into a building or the ground? Should they bounce back up off the ground?

Learning by consequence is a great thing and the consequences of your car behaving like you just type "hack: god mode on" is a bit poor.

It doesn't detract all that much from the racing experience for me but I don't think Konami can maintain their status of makers of the greatness racing simulation if they fail to simulate ALL aspects of their chosen field.

Someone needs to tell microsoft that their Flight Simulator series shouldn't be advertised as such because you don't get to pile drive planes into buildings with realistic damage to your plane.

The Gran Turismo series are realistic driving simulators not realistic crashing simulators.

Yeah I've got NO idea how this Konami craze started

Makes me wonder if some of you guys have even played GT to "appreciate" what it is, if you don't even know who makes it!?

But anyway, PD have said damage is coming, people who are crazed about damage rejoice! Most of us who love GT are happy to see the series evolve, but we'd of loved GT5 either way no doubt.

niceee..

now go buy the legendary SUZUKI CAPUCCINO and enjoy the game

I making my way through C-Class at this point, started with a Integra Type R, now I've got the Capuccino, got 2 more race s before I can move on to the next class. When do the races where I can win cars start? Or do you have to buy them all? :|

You get one at the end of every Class, but the rest you have to buy. :p

they make millions out of a demo... honestly.. great marketing strategy... i mean it...

And Blizzard made cashola by selling WoW as a beta that allowed you a few days head start and practically made you a beta tester that paid to grind a character that would be deleted 30 days later.

In the past 2.5 hrs that I've owned the game I'm through with the C and B challenges and part-way into the A challenges... I'm hoping there is more after this?! It does fill like a glorified demo, if the races were a little more complex I could enjoy the game more, but it just feels like the races are forking over the money too easy compared to GT4 :(

Man this update is really bothering me, I tried to update like 20+ times it downloads half way and then error show's up. I thought it was my connection at first, so I tried to download something else like a game trailer and it downloaded fine.

I tried to search on the net but most kept saying just retry and it will happen.

Rofl.

I'm on S Class, I spent some money buying the GT Test car or something, its like 300,000 or so, which has gotten me a few Golds, but I fail at the rest of them.

So I'm just going through the events with the tuning option unlocked getting better and getting more money to buy more cars with.

I'm stuck on the second to last all-star race in the A-Class. Beat the last one in 3rd place with the corvette, but I can't do better than 5th in the previous one. I get into 3rd for a lap and then lose it every time :(. I'm thinking getting the ford gt, ferrari 599, or audi would help. Or maybe I just suck if I can't do it with the corvette.

SonComet, what track is that race on? I used the GT-R for most of A-Class...

I finally managed to get 3rd on it. I think it was Fuji. It was just a matter of keeping up my concentration on the last lap, heh. Now I am getting totally owned by S class. Not really a car guy so I have no clue how to tune these things for the best results. Need to find a guide for each track.

Yeah, same. I've saved 400k so I'm probably gonna go on a spending spree to get some wins in S class.
