Dysphoria
Thanks guys! BTW I did not know exactly where to post this question, and since is going to be installed on one of my servers I posted it here. I hope I did not hurt nor offend anyone by doing so. Anyhow I think I was looking before at phpBB, so I might give that a shot and see how it goes. The whole purpose of this is to have a Communication BB for the employees where they can post server problems/issues and solutions, so that everyone on the internal network can have an access to. It's pure information sharing, that they can refer to in the future. Cheers!
kyro
when you say its more of information sharing thing , Why dont you also see about installing WIKI ? its like wikipedia, your staff can edit documents, knowledge base etc . tikiwiki is nice and there are many others. http://info.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php its like forum , wiki and much more. check it out. farmeunit
I like the new PHPBB3, but Simple Machines is pretty simple to manage and use also. There are quite a few out there, but those are my top 2. I like the idea of a wiki for internal use though. I might have to do that here also. Thanks kyro. lupich
I know this thread was all ready deemed 'out of context' for this forum. But if I can just throw in the quick suggestion of using SMF. It is truely the closest thing Ive seen to IPB and its totally free and has great support. Just my 2 cents.
Unknown1
Yeah SMF for simplicity, for security and alot more features then vB, ipb seems not to bad now too!
