So I was thinking about the joke and funny stuff section, specifically about video posts. I think it would be cool to see a bbcode for the forum.

any thoughts?

I use Save2PC to save you tube messages and then upload them to Photobucket and use the bb code from there see below:

[ flash=425,355 ]link to video[ /flash ]

425,355 is just a sample dimension...also remove all spaces.

Cool, I always wondering how to add the videos in the forum without to go to youtube.

if you dont know the dimensions and just use flash commands does it work?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nu5nFiwKTz0

[edit]

obviously not

[edit]

After digging through the embed code ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nu5nFiwKTz0.swf

bloody messy, you have to change the url from the watch?v= to the v/{code} and add .swf ... not very friendly :(

very nice! i guess doing it that way (using the flash bbcode) it allows other flash videos to be used.

john i prefer this

I would too if that's all I were viewing. But imagine scrolling through a jokes thread with a handful of them that large. Or the folks that still don't have access to broadband yet trying to load the page. Bigger isn't always better.

How come some of the Video's are gray and don't play? I go to trekmovie.com and they are gray as well, yet I know people are watching them. Same happened with a few in this topic.

Is there a new method?
