vincent Posted April 25, 2008 Share Posted April 25, 2008 Hello, I've recently imported my Windows machine into a virtual envirnoment. so that i can run Ubuntu as my primary OS at work, but need to join it to the domain, is there a wizard or easy way of doing so? The Ubuntu machine, the virtual image is already joined to the domain, we use static IP's (vlan setups) So ihad to reassign the desktop a new IP because the XP image (i'll be remoting to) already has an ip. I'm definitely not known for my linux expertise, but I don't believe a linux machine is able to join a windows domain. It can access file/printer shares ect. But that's about it.
