budget LCD advice

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I'm looking at getting a 37" LCD TV, but on a budget.

Has anyone had any experience with brands such as Hannspree, Teco, Arianet, Techwood etc. who are offering TV's around the ?300 mark?

Will be using this for movies (bluray) and PS3 gaming. HDMI, Component and DVI or VGA inputs would be essential, not worried about a tuner.

Please feel free to give me an honest answer if these really are poor!

Thanks,

James

I would stay away from these, and go to somewhere like Richer Sounds (or somewhere similar) and buy one you have heard of:

I know it is ?150 more (50%) but it would be well worth your while to spend your money carefully.

@ .fahim: thanks for your input. I'm really looking for someone with actual experience with some of these models, the panels likely came out of the same factory as the name brands, I just want some real life feedback if possible - I would quite happily buy a nice samsung or panasonic LCD but as I say, I'm on a budget.

Hanspree are a good brand.

Arianet is not a brand, it's just something Aria slap onto generic stuff from Asia. So I'd ignore that.
