Shift with no hard drive?

Recommended Posts

It is a Live CD, so if you have a CD drive and enough memory, it should work.

What's the minimum? 128MB? I'm asking because Ubuntu doesn't work, the computer just freezes when it says uncompressing kernel.

You could give it a try, but I think you'll run into the same problem as Shift is based on Ubuntu and shares its minimum requirements (256MB for the Live CD function).

Yup... you must not have enough memory for the kernel to be loaded into (along with the apps)......... :(

Agree with you there. Ubuntu is not the fastest or lighest thing to boot from. SHift must be close to it though. Never really tried shift...

/me looks for screen shots if any and then will concider if its worth using..
