Steven P. Administrators Posted April 29, 2008 Administrators Share Posted April 29, 2008 I am getting it too, I have informed a couple of our coders about it and we are keeping an eye on it. Seems sporadic at the moment though!

Steven P. Administrators Posted April 29, 2008 Administrators Share Posted April 29, 2008 Well I do want to say that I only get this with flash and the latest beta of FireFox (Beta 5). I also get freezes at different websites with flash content. So in that respect, it's not a Neowin issue.
Sophism
I had this issue as well and down grading my flash version cleared it up..

Rob Veteran Posted April 29, 2008 Veteran Share Posted April 29, 2008 (edited) Actually this is very likely the Heatmap we have installed - it's not designed for constant use because it sends an AJAX request every time something is clicked. Dave can you get rid of it please, we've got stats now and it's causing issues - I had no idea this was to be used for more than 48 hours. Redmak Administrators Posted April 29, 2008 Administrators Share Posted April 29, 2008 Heatmap code has been removed. Let me know if this helps or not

Krome
I don't think this is neowin issue. I have been experiencing internet hickups here. I just don't know what is up with the internet. It's been happening for a couple days already... I wonder if the massive exploit has anything to do with the internet problem.
XgD
I noticed that selecting text took about 2 seconds on NW. I could drag over a word then move my mouse away and wait 2-3 seconds before the word was highlighted. It seems to be fixed now though.

Shasoosh
i think that we are facing two problems one, the neowin Heatmap code , that now after removing it there is no lag in neowin. And the latest flash that is causing many hickups across the web. My neowin problem was solved right after Redmak removed the problematic script, im still getting lags in youtube video (after the stream is full ) etc'.
