zerologic
Quick idea, there are some sub forums that I don't care about: - *nix Customization & Support - Macintosh Customization & Support for argument's sake I'd like those to always be minimized. Is there a setting (I have looked, didn't find it) where certain sub forums can be minimized as my preference? Maybe it's a nice feature to have. zerologic
I know, that's neat. But when I log out and log back into Neowin the minimized sub forums don't stay minimized.
jimbo11883
Maybe the coderators can add some code to use cookies to remember which forums are minimized. I've done it with phpBB 3, so it should be easy too with IP Board.

zerologic
I have Firefox set up so that it clears all cookies on closing the browser. Perhaps the setting can be in Forum Preferences?
Stephen Veteran Posted May 1, 2008 Veteran Share Posted May 1, 2008 I have Firefox set up so that it clears all cookies on closing the browser.Perhaps the setting can be in Forum Preferences? thats why it does it then :p you mean so that the neowin servers store the open/closeing. tbh that would be better so then you get the same thing if you log onto multiple machines. ste
ozgeek
I agree with Ste. That's how many modern websites are storing user settings nowadays - so people can use their personalised setting anywhere and not the same computer. Cookies are a thing of the past when it comes to storing preferences but are still useful only to store login details.
Blaine
would be nice if it was stored site wise. Some of us geeks like to reformat lots, and not having to re-customize neowin each time would be nice :D

Wish I could save those extra clicks.
