+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted May 1, 2008 Subscriber² Share Posted May 1, 2008 Think the AC/MGS4 trailer played with your mind? Check this - http://lusoplay.sapo.pt/lptv/index.php?page=video&id=516 Damn Hideo teasing us like that :p Imagine MGS4 did ship with a MGS1 remake. On a serious note, maybe some of the flashbacks in MGS4 can be replayed as well as watched? Could explain part of the reason the game needs 50GB? Xero
Oh man, if they actually did that, I'd buy the game just for that. Just watching that video makes me want to break out the PS1.
+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted May 1, 2008 Author Subscriber² Share Posted May 1, 2008 good heavens...the debate over whether or not to buy a PS3 may have just ended for me :o Did you play MGS1-MGS3? If so it was probably inevitable you'd get a PS3 at somepoint  Another theory, This is a hint that "young snake" will return in some form, and you're actually revisiting the area, as opposed to replaying the scenes from the past - People have said notice how there is no guards and there is more snow. By the way, I guess the "spoilers" aren't that big I really just put spoiler tags in post 1 as not to waste the surprise for the first wave of viewers... If you don't use spoiler tags from now on it doesn't really matter :p It's not like the video confirms anything, it's just Hideo messing about with us again! By the way, someone said maybe it's young snake camo? - Only Kojima would pull that! However, probability? 0.00000001%.

DrunkenMaster
The little platform game at the start seems pretty cool. Hopefully that will make it on the DVD too. My theories 1. There's a strong history of re-making MGS1. Maybe its just a remake on a new platform. 2. The most likely IMO ... I think MGS1 and MGS2 is a VR training for MSG4 for the "new" snake who's the old geezer now in MGS4 ... unless its a disguise too and his DNA didn't age him much since the Big Shell Incident.* The MGS3 Snake developed CQB and had Big Boss as his mentor. The MGS1-MGS2 Snake is likely not to have had the same background with as good a mentor. MGS1 and MGS2 in some ways are much easier to beat than MGS3 - the bosses in MGS3 are considerably harder, better "trained" and Metal Gear, despite being an older model, is much harder to beat. * I think this puts into question the whole existence of Snake and exactly when he existed if you keep thinking about it. iron2000
Or it is just a dream? Or maybe theres mystical elements added? Time machine? Temporal youth serum? Or its just for fun? Interesting.

DrunknMunky Veteran Posted May 2, 2008 Veteran Share Posted May 2, 2008 That would be amazing if they remade MGS1  Was just playing the original last week, brings back good memories  If it's not a remake, I'd settle for playing flash backs...I guess :p It did look awesome though  Also missing were the spot lights that searched the helipad ;)
Xero
^ Its funny how we all look around for things that are different from the original. That game is one of my favorites of all time, right up there with the zelda ocarina of time. Ah the good old days of consoles.
