How to send HTML files via email

Question

Hi

I did a search for this topic in Neowin, but couldn't find any suitable ones, so here goes:

I want to send a HTML file via email, and when my friend receives it, it shows up formatted in HTML instead of as an attachment. A friend of mine showed me how it's done via IE and Outlook, but I cannot replicate the same thing on my machine which is running IE and Outlook Express.

-Help-

:(

Hi

If what you wish to do is send an html file as an attatchment, do just that. If it causes problems, why not zip it or such?

If you have an html page and you want this to be the email, use outlook/express it's easy peasy :)

How? I want to send the html page as an email - but can't seem to do it with Outlook Express. :(

njlouch is saying to just put it in a zip file, and then attach that.

what email client is your friend using? try sending an email to yourself w/ the attachment.

Well, I want it to be viewed as a HTML file without people opening the attachment or opening the zipped file. My friend was using Outlook 2000 ( or is it 2002 ) and all he did was to open the HTML page in IE, click on Tools, then Mail and News, and selected Send Page. Viola! It was a HTML page, not as an attachment.

DOH! Found out the problem... must be on a server! I tried using a HTML file on my computer and it turns to an attachment. After uploading it then everything was fine. Again, DOH!
