Target Audience

Question

Hi peeps,

How are you? I?m fine and so is my web site? http://www.mark-buxton.co.uk

Trouble is that I need to make my web site aware to a larger audience (this website type audience would be nice) and need to get the forum going because I have 25 members on the web site but hardly anyone is posting at all.

How can I sort this problem out as the forum works brilliantly but none of the members or new members seem to be posting.

Please help with ideas,

Thanks Mark.

first you have to have quality information....i dont think people are going to want to read a whole page about what you have done....also you need to advertise and have lots of friends who can help you....

So far, ive found two ways to get many people to your site. Have content thats widely interesting and thats in a fun to read/look at way. And to promote, I havent figured out how to promote quiet yet (no jokes about my user name). But I know that even the most entertaining website wont get off the ground without a few interested people to spread the word.

Ive gotten alot of good content on my site but getting the people to come hasnt worked yet. Forums are usually a side product of many return visitors, so make it return friendly. maybe after coming a few times theyll start looking for more stuff in your site.

bluerei, why do you think everything is spam? maybe some people just want some help to get their site going a little smoother, maybe they want feedback and ideas....did you ever consider this?
