mcloum
Hi all, Complete Linux n00b here but i've managed to setup a Fedora Core 8 server at work to use as an imaging server with FOG (on sourceforge) probem is its only using 1 NIC which is 100mb, it falls over when im imaging more than 4 machines so i was wondering if network cards (intel i beleive) can be teamed like they can in windows. Cheers Mike
-JMC-
Sorry I can't really help you but I would just like to point out you posted in the Client help section. You might get a better response if you posted in the Server help section.
+BudMan MVC Posted May 25, 2008 MVC Share Posted May 25, 2008 Here this should help http://linux-ip.net/html/ether-bonding.html Networking vendors have long offered a functionality for aggregating bandwidth across multiple physical links to a switch. This allows a machine (frequently a server) to treat multiple physical connections to switch units as a single logical link. The standard moniker for this technology is IEEE 802.3ad, although it is known by the common names of trunking, port trunking and link aggregation. The conventional use of bonding under linux is an implementation of this link aggregation. But the question comes down to if your switch supports this sort of thing?
