Ps3 and TV

Guys i have a 42 inch panasonic plasma tv...

I love it but when i see screenshots of some games in internet, i realized that my game does not look as great. Also a friend of mine told me that Pro Evo 2008 looked better on his Sony LCD than my Panasonic Plasma...

1-)Is panasonic vieja good for gaming with HDMI output?

2-) are there any differences between HDMI cables? and what is the best one and if i switch my regular HDMI cable to a better one will i see a difference?

3-) I know LCD's have better resolution and plasmas have better color. Did anyone try a specific game under both LCD and PLASMA and what kind of differences did you see?

4-) ok might sound weird but how many meters should i be away from a 42 inch TV while playing games to appreciate the graphics better? what is the optimal range?

Thanx.

yes yes... i can display at 720p and 1080p both. GT5 in 1080p and all the rest of my games are being displayed at 720p...

I dont use 1080i.

They say approx 7 feet away from a 37" TV.

HDMI cables are all the same, so don't fall into that trap and buy a stupidly expensive cable.

so it is 8 feet for 42 inch tv which is almost 2.5 meters... Ok will do that. I am normally around 1.5 meters from the TV...

and so you also say that all HDMI cables are same? because in SCART technology getting the golden one actually had a dramatic increase in some of my older products that use the scart output... but in HDMI i guess all are the same.

HDMI is digital, SCART was analogue. Big difference. HDMI is 0's and 1's. Either works, or doesn't.
