Leo
Hey all, I just finished installing XP and I created a 10gb partition that I plan to install Ubuntu on but I am not too sure on what to do on the partition screen. Do I let it resize my drive and use free space? Will that mess with the Windows files? Or do I tell Ubuntu to install on the 10gb partition? If So, how? Manually edit the partitions? Thank you! Paixao
Delete the partition that you created to ubuntu and then select the largest continuos free space. It is the easiest way.

(Y) A lot of people try to "help" the Linux install, but letting it make its own partitions is the easiest way (unless you are after specific partitioning). The newer *buntus even come with a graphical slider to make room by moving a slider bar.
