576 probably which is 4:3 ratio i think my 29" CRT TV runs ps3 at 576i through composit

as far as linux on ps3 best bet is with yellowdogs optimized distro for ps3..

how is Fedora vs Ubuntu? i heard Ubuntu is easier to use, and besides Mandrake 5, Ubuntu is the 2nd Linux Distro iv ever used for more then a week. other then that its Mainly Windows/OSX

they are both very much the same though fedoras management isn't as simple as ubuntu's debian base. i'm not really too crash hot with fedora/red hat and have only had very minor twidles with it and i'm not very familiar with the whole yum system and stuff which probably explains it but depending on what you wish to do with it fedora's latest releases besides being different basis and packaging systems etc they seem to be on par some what just may take some learning of the differences if you're used to debian/*buntus like me

downloading and trying it, but prefer Ubuntu honestly as it seemed " Ease of Use ", if i dont care for it, the only other option is let the Ps3 continue to be a door stop while i wait for a Better install procedure/fix for the Ps3 version of Ubuntu

Offroadaaron: why would i do that, the PS3 supports installing Linux out of the box, it even has a built in partition manager to redo the internal HDD to support it

oh, in that case, it should support it, but you still need to run the PS3 partition utility, and then just install Linux on the drive you want, the installer detected my Kingston 4GB usb key during the partitioning installer. its the bootloader i think that handles "Where" the os is physically installed
