Intel Processors Overclock Database

Recommended Posts

Got you added.

Can you confirm that's the frequency your RAM is running at? The "memory" tab in CPU-Z will tell you that.

Also, for future reference, the week and code can be found on the actual processor die. Doesn't need to be read off of the box.

DDR3 - Running Dual Channel

DRAM Frequency: 445.0MHz (890mhz total)

FSB:DRAM: 1-1

CL: 7

tRCD: 7

tRP: 7

tRAS: 20

Command Rate: 1T

Also about the week/code I will try to get that, I will be taking my computer apart soon to do some wire management and case modifications.

and I also was reading up on applying Thermal Paste and it seems I applied too much possibly, but my temps are still good. The Cooler-Master Hyper TX-2 came with alot of thermal paste already on it, but I cleaned that off and re-applied some Arctic silver similiar to what it had unpackaging it, but from seeing youtube videos and guides I applied more than just a "transparent coat" it was rather thick.

Maybe by replacing this and tidying up some wires I will get some lower tempatures and beable to bring up the OC a bit, because my voltage is still a good ways off from intel max spec. (1.36v I believe?)

Also I'd like to get the memory back up to atleast its rated speeds (1066 or better), but meh...I'm confused on that matter.

Ok...here is my updated stuff:

RAM: Patriot DDR3-1066 PC3-8500 (2x 1GB Sticks) - It's running at 1186 MHz now.

Manual Set Timings: 7-7-7-20 (3:4 FSB:RAM Ratio) - 2.66D Multi.

DRAM Voltage: 1.56v (stock: 1.5v) - upped one notch in bios.

Memtest86 v2.11 - Ran 3hours with no errors.

Been meaning to get around to posting my updated info. :p

Same mobo, cooling and OS. I changed out the E6550 for a E8200 (went to the wifes machine OC'd to 2.8) and had to get some new ram because one of my G.Skill sticks crapped out. Been Orthos'ed for 14+ hours perfectly stable just forgot to save the screenshot... again.

Ram is running at 4-4-4-12 1T 2.1v DDR2 800 (400MHz) despite what the EPP profile says in the third CPUz.

Yeah, I need like 1.328 to be stable at 3.610GHz. But I'm not complaining cause it's idle at 39C, plus it's winter right now :p

Updated both of you guys.

I had to lower my memory overclock, it caused an error in Prime95 stability, previously my CPU OC went 15hrs stable in Prime95 without messing with the memory, now I get rounding failures at 12hours when I messed with the memory...so I lowered it down from 1186mhz to 1086 using a 333fsb divider, instead of a 400fsb divider.

New updated stats:

RAM: Patriot DDR3-1066 PC3-8500 (2x 1GB Sticks) - It's running at 1068 MHz now.

Manual Set Timings: 7-7-7-20 (5:6 FSB:RAM Ratio)

DRAM Voltage: 1.56v (stock: 1.5v) - upped one notch in bios. -same

Curious, what do you guys think about a 2x1GB and a 2x2GB config for 6gigs of ram? I want to do a slight upgrade, I think.

I currently have 4 gigs of Kingston HyperX KHX9600D2K2/2G (which I've never been able to get to DDR2 1200).

I want to run a Virtual Machine is why I am seeking a slight upgrade.

Got a new CPU Cooler....Zalman 9700 LED (the copper one), also upgraded my case to the newest Antec 900...version 2. It has better wire management & dust filters for the fans as well as fan controllers built into the back of the case.

Fry's just got them in 2 days ago from Antec

You'd probably be better off getting another set of 2x2 that closely matches your current memory. DDR is so cheap, 4GB can easily be had for under $50.

For people reading: finish your tweaking and then post your results. This isn't a progress thread, it's a final what-i-run-24/7 or this-is-the-highest-i-can-hit-stable thread.

Anyway you're updated..

sorry about that, I know you are referring to me. This is the highest I am able to hit though while not going over 70c, so it is my final 24/7.

Thanks.
