Andy-2K
I wanted to test the new ubuntu distro as i was told support for the RT61 chipset had improved. Everything was working great after installation and i managed to get the latest updates but my mouse pointer just locks up randomly, sometimes after just one minute. Also followed a tutorial from a friend, tried running with the realtime kernel. This i thought would fix it but instead my pointer doesn't lockup it just slows down to a crawl. Wish i knew how to fix it :(
markwolfe Veteran Posted June 17, 2008 Veteran Share Posted June 17, 2008 Can you post your xorg.conf file? (not that I think I can help, but that file will have information about your mouse configuration) When your mouse locks up, does the rest of the system respond? That is, if you have a text file open and in focus, can you still type in it? Do X keys such as ALT-TAB or even the CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE (terminate) keys work?
