how to switch from automatically using your isp dns to 3rd party dns

Recommended Posts

How to change from using your ISP dns (autodect, etc) to manually input the DNS servers so you can be using VPN and leave the settings to automatically get IP from server? In Windows is simple, just wish to know in Ubuntu how to do it too, please.

Where you see your network icon (Normally at the top right of your panel) left click once on it and it will say Manual configuration, scroll down and click on it. There you will see four tabs 1) Connections: 2) General: 3) DNS: 4) Hosts: Click on DNS and remove any entries that may be there and add the ones you want! Done click close!
