yanowhiz
Anyone here know of any linux alternative to lobstertunes? I tried using wine but found that was pointless unless you have Windows Media Player. I tried doing some googling around and haven't been able to find much. What I would like to achieve is to host my music library and be able to access it via my Windows Mobile 6 cell phone (AT&T Tilt -- HTC 8925). kyro
I am surprised by no reply here. and whatsup with UbuntuVersion? there are linux stuff applicable to all major distros , following is what I do on my Fedora 9 laptop setup. What i would suggest is , Install mpd ( Music Player Daemon ) and sonata ( Gui player for Linux desktop ) now after you configure and run MPD , you can browse your playlist from HTC by pointing it to http://yourpcip.com:6060 through GSPlayer etc and it would roll :). PS:- Sonata player is to access your MPD daemon and play it on desktop.
