ozgeek
I've bought the Play'n'Charge kit off eBay and has been working fine for a month (it was my first ever ebay purchase). The problem is in the past few days the kit seems not to be charging the battery on my wireless controller. The red light on the controller connector stays red until about a minute and then changes to green. When unplugged, the controller acts as if it is very low on battery but if I plug it back in, the controller works as if it's full. I've trying to plug it into my computer's USB hub. Same result. Berserk87
odd. i had that problem for a day or two, but i left it charging in my computer for a couple days and it fixed itself.
jerzdawg
it could be the actual batter pack itself... there is a point in the batteries life that it can no longer be charged.... I have had mine since launch and they still work... but there is wording on the retail package that states they will need to be replaced eventually.... only thing i can suggest is picking up a new battery pack to test it out... Should that not take years though? :( Worried my controllers will die out now. Aren't they Lion batteries or something?

Actually mine is a launch model, I got both of my plug n play kits the same time, so technically it did take over 2 years as I just noticed it about a month ago. So do they sell the battery separately? I actually posted in another thread I was going to call MS, but I never did.

Sorry but I don't know where you can buy a battery separately :( I got my charge pack with my Halo 360.

DrunknMunky Veteran Posted June 20, 2008 Veteran Share Posted June 20, 2008 The battery which came with my launch console was starting to lose it's charge around April this year. Instead of just buying the battery though, I paid the extra ?3 or something and bought another Play & Charge kit. Although, sods luck and the original started to keep charge all of a sudden:pp Still have the new one in the package lol

IkarY
Yooo.. i just found your topic.. and found myself having the same problem.. i have already sent one play and charge kit back to the retailer because it was only shining red for a couple of seconds then turned green... I plugged in the remote to the computer and same thing,, But... i know that my battery is complete empty so.. ass soon as the color turned green i ripped the cable out and connected it again... after doing this a couple of times it kept on loading, soo stay connected as long its red.. disconect and connect again when it turns green hopefully you make it work ^^
Browno
My brothers buggered up and did the same thing therefore I stuck his battery in my dual charger thing, and then on it worked perfectly:)
George P Global Moderator Posted June 8, 2009 Global Moderator Share Posted June 8, 2009 My battery is also not staying charged long like it used to, but It's been over a year, so I dunno. I figure I'll have to get a new battery pack or maybe just connect it to my PC and see how it charges that way for now.
