Sqiirel
I recently installed kubuntu, im not the most experienced linux user but im trying to learn. One thing i have noticed is that most of my shortcuts dont work correctlly. For instance ctrl alt and left and right arrow dont switch my desktops, nor do i really know any of the other shortcuts. I would think that kde shortcuts would be consistant. Does any one know what shortcut i need to press to switch desktops aside from ctrl F1...F8. Also how do i move one window to the next desktop via shortcut. Hell if you have a list of shortcuts that be great. Thanks anyone for the help
markwolfe Veteran Posted July 10, 2008 Veteran Share Posted July 10, 2008 Are you using Gnome shortcuts in KDE? Sounds like it. Here is a summary on Novell's site: http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/tip/2289.html If you really wanted to use the Gnome shortcuts in KDE, I am sure you can re-declare them from some menu in KDE's control panel. Sqiirel
Actually i found it, its set to custom scheme by default, so i just changed it, and now everything is working, Thanks for the help Are you using Gnome shortcuts in KDE? Cool, thanks for that, only one weird think, ctrl tab doesnt switch desktops for me at all. Most of the shortcuts i tried work, except that, crtl tab and shift ctrl tab do nothing. Anyone know how to reset back to default or anything of the sort Edited July 10, 2008 by Sqiirel
