roadgeek9
Even though my grandmother has cable TV on every TV in her house, there is one that still uses an antenna, the TV in her room. She only watches NBC in the morning to get weather and news. She is supposed to be getting her coupons for a "2009 box" in the mail soon, but I am confused on one subject. Does she just need a new antenna or can she still use her current antenna? She is using an indoor antenna.
shockz
No... she keeps her existing antenna... and gets a converter box. Any antenna can pick up DTV/HDTV... its the old tv that can't handle the signal it picks up - thats where the converter box comes in.

Eric Veteran Posted July 21, 2008 Veteran Share Posted July 21, 2008 The thing that kinda stinks about the converter box coupons is that they are only good for boxes that have analog outputs. You can't use the card to get one with even S-Video output. :(
