dwntwn
Section "Device" Identifier "Configured Video Device" EndSection In the device section you are missing the "Driver" directive. Without the proper module for your graphics card, X may not work.
markwolfe Veteran Posted July 24, 2008 Veteran Share Posted July 24, 2008 It seems to tell you that (for whatever reason) this is a failsafe config. And the comments also state what you ought to do to make a correct xorg.conf file: sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
The_Observer
Ran sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg, but still not making my screen 1024x768, found that i needed to add in the driver, witch i did, and some montior and screen settings, and works fine, there is a bit of lag on it, when i move my mouse from one side to the other, but i think it sometime to do with my videoRAM? i mean it has a 16meg video card, do i need a setting to make it so?
