RWI SubForum Rule suggestion...

Recommended Posts

Recently there was a topic in RWI that cause quite a bit of drama, mostly because the title was not at all factual. I would like to make a suggestion that topic titles have to be factual regarding the content, not worded in a certain way as to just try to get people posting on the title rather than the actual news item.

Careful Cipher, your on dangerous waters. Don't disagree with the mods :)

Just some advice (Y)

If reporting a new article, the thread title should be similar. (Good way to find duplicate threads, etc)

That would quite easily work as well. I just think that some kind of standard should be set for everyone to follow. Too many people interject their own biases in titles.

I prefer that posters use the name of the article posted as their topic title (if it is short enough to fit)

of the few articles I've posted, I use this method mainly out of laziness, but it also leaves my personal bias out of it. and comments I have are put after the quotation.

It also helps with the search indexing to avoid duplicate postings.
