Tantawi Share Posted August 1, 2008 (edited) Welcome to the Neowin photo gallery! Here you can post your pictures and discuss your photography techniques. Please be mindful of our members on dial-up and try to keep the dimensions of the pics and the size of the files to a respectable size for 1024 x 768 viewers. Please refrain from quoting images in your replies. I will also ask that you link to images on your own space, as much as possible. Try to put more details from your camera settings and also talk about what you have done with photoshop. There are a lot of photographers here that like your editing skills and would like to learn more. Thanks! ^ Copied from previous threads. Start! giga Veteran Share Posted August 1, 2008 I'm gonna start a change here. People still shoot film and they're more than welcome to post here so I've given it a more apt title.

Yusuf M. Veteran Share Posted August 1, 2008 Here are a couple of my pictures. I'm still learning as I recently became an amateur photographer. As you can see, the pictures have obviously been edited. I used a program called Adobe Lightroom 2 to change the lighting and colour hue/saturation. In addition, all the pictures were post-processed with a custom Lightroom filter. The camera I used to take the pictures is a Fujifilm FinePix S1000fd. Anyway, I'd love to hear comments and/or advice. :)
spacey Share Posted August 1, 2008 Anaron, the 2nd shot is nice. The colours work well with their faces. First shot, his face is a bit too dark and last shot, the subject isn't too clear to me so I'm not a fan of the composition.
Andrew Veteran Share Posted August 1, 2008 Ok be gentle with me :p I know my work is nowhere near the great stuff Giga, Tantawi and others post, but I figured I won't get any better without trying :p I got my 350D back in March but I've yet to get to grips with it due to a few reasons. Anyways, I had a go today and here is some pics.. I took quite a lot more, but I think that's enough embarrassment for one day :p Gonna look into some PP techniques now. Fowarek Share Posted August 1, 2008 Would I be allowed to post 4 photos that I post processed of the same image here? Or is it not allowed. I just want input on which one is the best so I have a better idea on what I should do while post processing.
Draconian Guppy Share Posted August 1, 2008 Would I be allowed to post 4 photos that I post processed of the same image here? Or is it not allowed. I just want input on which one is the best so I have a better idea on what I should do while post processing. You have to send me €100 first :p j/k Go ahead, but I believe it would be better if you posted the 4 photos in one same post, so we can see the difference between processing techniques, as well as the original. Hehe, the second one is my favourite. As for the first shot, I agree. I should brighten up the face. The last shot was pretty random. I tried to get a shot of a kid playing with some toy and ended up with two kids in the frame. I took some more pictures today so I'll post them soon. :)
basix Share Posted August 1, 2008 Just uploaded a few more shots to my photostream , as I had to wait untill the 1st to roll around. I really hate not having (or believing in) a credit card so no Pro account for me yet ; ( On another note and I have posted in the Forum Support Thread a problem I am having with posting Flickr images, I can't see the "Toggle HTML" button on this reply field! Can anyone shed some light on this problem? @Giga, I love your 3rd shot @Aranon, I love the second one but the white is too white for me
VazaGothic Share Posted August 1, 2008 Since I enjoy Infrared photography I am posting here my two favorite ones: Two Trees IR (Original) Space Needle IR (Original) Both pictures taken with Nikon D80 and Hoya R72 filter (EXIF Info available with the Original pictures). Lens used was the 18-135mm one. The postprocessig included switch of blue & red channels and small correction of saturation. Finished with a small touch-up on curves.
