spacey Share Posted August 18, 2008 I agree, crop a bit, so we can further see details on the shroom a bit more !.cipher I like your photos, however, how about trying to focus on a small part of the flower rather than the whole flower itself. Like on the first one, the spots. On the red one ( which seems a bit way to harsh for my eyes) perhaps focusing on the buds. I dunno, just my 2 cents :p i'll disagree with both of you... his photo follows the rule of thirds which is just fine. i also like how with all the black, the white mushroom being the minority pops out more -- if it was more of a balance of white/black then i don't think the mushroom would jump out as much. spacey Share Posted August 20, 2008 (edited) C&C welcome... thanks! Just borrowing a 50 f1.4 from a friend. The second picture is on the soft full size, I'm wondering if the D300 had trouble focusing properly with the lens in the poor lighting. crazzy88ss Share Posted August 20, 2008 I was going through my old pictures that I scanned into digital a long time ago. These were taken when I was 11-13 or so using disposable cameras. http://www.flickr.com/photos/stephenkirsh/2782497790/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/stephenkirsh/2782497784/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/stephenkirsh/2782497780/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/stephenkirsh/2782497772/ This one was 3 images I stitched together. The seams look really bad because I didn't really plan on stitching them together as I didn't even know that was possible back then!
