What do the stars actually represent, because I've been on 3 for a long time, then I went on holiday and didn't post for a month but I am still on 3, hence I'm a little confused as to how they are calculated.

PS

I thought they represented average posts/day, correct me if I am wrong.

The more posts you get the more stars you get. I don't know what count is needed for a new star but it is on total posts and not posts/day.

+1 Vote for having a toggle option! (Y)

-Infinite votes for that, as it's such a pain in the rear end to code something like that into IPB, which we then have to transfer across every time we upgrade, whereas doing it without a setting is a matter of deleting 4 characters and adding one other.

i like the old stars neowin used to have. they were a bit more refined than what we have now. i think the stars should be below the badge, not adjacent as they are now.

Wow, I didn't even notice we had our stars back until scrolled down after reading every post, and seeing that DaveLegg added it back LOL.

Cool I guess :)

Same here, it would look better if they were below the badge.

I must be the only person still using IE7 on Neowin as no one else has mentioned this :p, the stars don?t appear under the badge like they do in Firefox.

Just giving you the heads up!
