Thanks a lot for this. It is very useful.

Some questions though, I ran it, it did the job of turning them into List view, but I can't find it in the task manager. Does it do its job and then just close?

And is this program's name really desktopListView ?

Its possible to revert to original view without restarting. All you have to do is kill explorer.exe task from Task Manager and then just start it again.

I guess this is good if you keep all your folders and tons of shortcuts on your desktop, but frankly, I like just the opposite. You can make nice big icons in Vista on your desktop. Of course, i like just having a few.
