sanctified Veteran Posted August 25, 2008 Veteran Share Posted August 25, 2008 Hi guys, Im trying to have a fully transparent 2d dock in Leopard. I deleted all the pngs inside the Dock.app and restarted but the Dock still appears as a transparent black rectangle. Any ideas?
giga Veteran Posted August 25, 2008 Veteran Share Posted August 25, 2008 The 2D Dock uses more than just image resources as far as I know. (coded) I have seen several transparent themes on MacThemes though.

I dont think a tiny feature like dock color its hardcoded. You can make the 2D dock black, change the opacity, or make it completely transparent.

furby
I have the exact opposite problem, I made my 2d dock transparent and now can't get it back. I copied all the resources form another mac but it doesn't seem to have worked. Anyone know which files are the 2d ones?
Wannes
Most of the time I want it transparent on black backgrounds so I give my dock a black theme.
