Just got my first mac!

My time on OS X was limited, my Macbook had to be returned due to what seemed like hardware issues. But I am back on the market again and might purchase another Macbook this time from the Apple Education Store, or buy a Vista laptop. :yes:

I've done the math and I'm saving roughly $200-300 if I opt to buy a Vista laptop in comparison to a Macbook. I'm in no means a power hungry guy and the base level Macbook is more than enough for me. It's just I don't know how reliable those $700 Vista laptops are, I know how rock solid the Macbooks are. Battery is a huge deal to me and that's one of the reasons why Macbook is on top of my list.

I've heard good and bad things about HP and Sony's cheaper laptops, so I don't really know what to get other than a Mac. :p

I think Microsoft does own a lot of shares of apple lol. Then again, with how their stock price only seems to rise over time, Microsoft is not too bad off. I bought my 5 shares of Apple when it was at roughly $35 a share and look where it is now :laugh:

no, I think those shares were divested off a long time ago.
