Daniel. 0 Posted September 6, 2008 Anaron: I think a big thing to consider is that nearly every photo you take is going to need at least some post-processing - I shoot in RAW+JPEG, so I have the option of having a quick version for sending to people if I need to, but if I really like a picture I'll import the RAW into Photoshop and play with the temperature, exposure and, importantly, the sharpness settings. Zoom to 100% (actual pixel size) and slowly increase the sharpness until you get a result you're happy with. You will also find that simply decreasing the resolution of pictures from 4272 x 2848 to something more manageable (especially for web) will tend to make the sharpness a bit less of an issue. Hmm I'm not sure what else to say...always shoot in the 'Creative' modes (P, Tv, Av, M) rather than the auto ones, use a tripod where possible, don't always use the flash - especially for close-up photos, don't be afraid to take a lot of photos of the same thing and select the good ones when you're at the PC where you can see the photos better. I haven't had the camera long and it's my first DSLR - luckily not long after I got it I was in Cornwall for 2 weeks with little to do so I made a point of learning all about the camera, taking lots of pictures and reading some photography magazines. Best advice I can give is just to keep practising really, take lots of photos, mess around with the settings etc. JMann: I asked my mum where she picked it up and she can't remember exactly, she thinks it might have been from TK Maxx a few years ago - but they change round their stock all the time so I wouldn't think they carry it anymore. Sorry I couldn't be more help!

Yusuf M. 1,362 Posted September 8, 2008 Wow, sharpening my pictures makes it look so much better. By the way, it'd be nice if people could post what camera they used to take the picture. The lens would be great too.

Andre 9 Posted September 8, 2008 (edited) A couple of shots of tonight's sunset. As always with 50 f1.4 lens. Still not as spectacular in real life as the one I saw the other day. Will upload a couple of more tomorrow maybe. Shook the tripod by accident on this shot (colours are post edited) Getting a 18-200 VR at the end of this week. Finally will be able to shoot some wides. Will most likely also get a 70-200 f2.8 later this year for some lowlight zooms. Edited September 8, 2008 by Andre
goodcase 5 Posted September 9, 2008 Long Time No Post. I've been sick the past while and unable to shoot as much as id like. But it was my buddies birthday today and thus i felt the need to bust out the camera. This was just in my backyard as we were waiting for another friend to get off work before we could start the fun.
