yungwunn911
Hi all, I just put together a new computer (first time). As always one of the first things i do when I get a new computer is hack with the UX theme patcher and change my MS style. I did it successfully on this PC, however, when my computer updated XP to SP2, they no longer work! I patched again with v6.0 and all the themes are in the resource folder as they should be, but nothing appears in the properties appearance tab. When I double click the style, usually it will load up the style in windows, but this time NOTTHING happens. Could some1 lead me in the right direction on getting this to work again? thanks, michael
Jamushroom Veteran Posted September 6, 2008 Veteran Share Posted September 6, 2008 Be sure that there are no UXTheme dll files outside the "X:\Windows\System32\" folder. The theme engine wont work the way it should when there are more UXTheme dll files outside the System32 folder.
yungwunn911
thankss i ended up using a updated version of the patcher and all is well now. I guess the 4.0 one i had is ancient? 6.0 works better
