Designer Wanted

Question

I'm starting a website for users (and future users) of the Dell Axim handhelds. As you may know, they're selling in the millions since they were introduced in November. This is because they are the single cheapest ($300~$350) 400mhz PocketPC on the market right now.

Anyway, the site will probbably have news, hardware reviews, forums, downloads, and the like. I've started on a design, but I must say I don't like it very much. So, i'm looking for someone to improve the layout, and help me turn it into a site design. I've also got some friends who'll help us, most of them programmers.

So here's what I'm offering to anyone who helps me :

*Advertising for your software, your website, or your company, or whatever you want on my site - for free..

*space for your personal homepage, etc. on my server.

*the option of being listed on the site as a designer (impress future webdesign clients)

*you are free to add it to your portfoilo if you want

This site has the potential for millions of visitors (there are millions of Axim owners already), if the design/planning is done correctly.

.psd files are available at http://aximtext.tk of designs I started on, you are free to modify them/use them as a basis for what you're doing with the site.

Notes for anyone doing modifications :

I like the design of pocketpcthoughts.com except it is too cluttered. We'll only want to have one advertising block, possible on the right

I like the buttons/colors of the attatched file - if anyone can mimic that in photoshop, please do.

Good luck.

That's a nice attitude...I don't really think it helped him any in his questions..so maybe you should of not posted or at least offered some kind of constructive advice. I'd imagine your the type to charge for anything and everything. And don't even say that you really meant "good luck" as I know you didn't...your attitude is like this around these forums 24/7...so don't try and justify anything here.

Tytanic...there are plenty of people who wouldn't mind helping. Also check out various other web design forums, such as www.sitepoint.com.

I'm too busy doing other projects most of the time but if you ever have a question just e-mail or ICQ me.
