Hum
I downloaded an old movie that I enjoy. About a third of the way thru, the sound sync is off by several seconds. Any easy way to repair the sync ? I use Windows XP Pro, and have Nero 6. Thanks :)

se7en.hu
I think VLC can.. or Quicktime? Im sure I saw it in one of those. You can adjust the audio delay etc.
paganinio
play the movie with VLC Media Player, press Ctrl-L or Ctrl-K and you'll see "Audio delay 50 ms" or "Audio delay -50 ms" onscreen. 1000ms=1 second. It works. I just verified it myself.

MR_Candyman
to answer the original question: yes, you could have cut the audio track where it started to go off and re-aligned it

Cpl. Fatty
that would be the best answer if you wanted to correct it every time you watched it. if you wanted to correct the actual movie itself. that can be done with windows movie maker and just slide the audio until it syncs up. +Troll Subscriber¹ Posted December 16, 2008 Subscriber¹ Share Posted December 16, 2008 I know you solved it, but another solution is to use Media Player Classic. You can also adjust the sync like in VLC.
Hum
Well, thank you for all the replies. My original idea was to actually repair the sound track in a permanant way. I don't know of a program that could do that. But I'm happy with the replacement movie file. ;)
