Mikeparkie
I have just restored my PC using Windows complete PC backup. One problem! i have only backed it up onto the wrong drive! i have C - Maxtor 80GB (in tact and ok) D - WD 500GB (in tact and ok) E - Samsung 1TB (problems) what i done was restores my backup image to the Samsung drive. What i need to do is somehow undo this. i havent written any new data to E. over than the incorrect image. What to do, please suggestions....? Mikeparkie
I can, then what, how do i get all the data back? Quick note. i'm not sure if its the MBR what needs restoring. The problematic E drive is showing under my computer, but just shows 80GB of used data, which is the incorrectly backed up windows image.

Mikeparkie
what i meant to do was use a restore image (stored on D) and reformat the C drive and apply the image. what i did was used the restore image and applied it to E rather then C.
