Neowin is a Malicious Web Site

Recommended Posts

Sorry, it is a bad habit of mine, just fyi. The reason why I am using McAfee it that as I stated in my other post in a different section of this forum, is that Comcast will be limiting our bandwidth usage 2 250 giga bytes per month beginning October 1st, 2008, and their only suggestion 4 monitoring our internet usage was 2 use their free Comcast Internet Security Suite Powered by McAfee (which is the old and outdated 8.1 version of the software suite, just fyi. I can get the 9.1 Beta version 4 free just by helping out with the beta testing process at http://beta.mcafee.com/.

2) McAfee works on a democratic like report system. You have to report a site in order for it to show up as a bad/malicious site. Perhaps some stupid punk reported it for fun and McAfee picked it up as a malicious site...

yup. I have mcafee internet security 8 (which is pretty good btw), and on my dad's pc i've got siteadvisor installed too. When something is googled, each link has a mcafee rating and is based on reportings by web users (not by mcafee themselves!).
