For those unaware of the Legendary? status of the distagon 21mm. (it was discontinued and was basically a collectors item)

Expensive. They compete with Leica in terms of quality.

Damn! The Zeiss 21 puts the Canon and Nikon lenses to shame.

Whoa. CZ lenses on EF. Now I'm turned on.

Are they mf/af? And are they actually made by CZ or are they under license by another company. Either way, legendary glass o.o

edit: answered my own question, the 50mm and 85mm are both 'automatische Fokussierbest?tigung'. I assume that means AF.

85 1.4 interests me. Wouldn't mind seeing a review/comparison of that vs the 85L...it's not as fast as the 85L but CZ lenses are meant to perform stunnningly wide open, plus CZ pwn...could beat the 85L at 1.4

And the price and nonretarded fly-by-wire focus makes an attractive proposition.

85L at 1.2 is pretty stunning. the 85 1.4 is no match for it.

Ah, heh. The 21mm distagon is the sharpest lens in its category though. ;)
