How to load edited files to setup.

Recommended Posts

I have edited somem part of my windows xp sp2 and now i want to load them to windows xp sp2 setup.

Is there any way to do this.I want to load those files to my windows setup so that if i format my computer and install the fresh copy i don't need to edit those files again.

1. extract the source files to your computer.

2. compress your modified files (i'm assuming you're talking about dlls, cpls, etc.). check out compression bin for this: http://www.msfn.org/board/Compression-Bin-12-t80717.html

3. copy your compressed files to the source directory on your computer.

4. make a bootable cd using those source files.

actually, while you're at it, you might as well use nlite to (i) put sp3 on it, (ii) modify your installation and remove components, (iii) create an unattended installation, and (iv) create an iso.
