Rappy Veteran Posted September 22, 2008 Veteran Share Posted September 22, 2008 well I told you about it.. lol. You did but I was like "can't stop now" :p
TheFlusher
yeah black saber is all the way at the top at the last level before facing vader...Use the gravitional circle to float all the way up there. You should see the yellow cube then. You just have to figure how to get it there, it's not too hard.
Rappy Veteran Posted September 23, 2008 Veteran Share Posted September 23, 2008 I think I will go back later on harder difficulty, I thought that dude with the robot legs was the hardest boss out of the whole game? what everyone else think? thealexweb
Huh, it'll be $60 for you and ?40/?45 for us, translate that and $80/$90, you having it cheap anyway.

That makes more sense to me then. Going from the first boss to the second on (I'm still on my first play through) on medium was even quite challenging. You actually had to develop a decent strategy towards him. I'm relieved that I won't have to go through as much frustration with future bosses, but slightly disappointed too. Remysaus
yeah, the second boss was just plain annoying, your hits don't seem to have any impact at all, but repeatedly 'x, y, y-ing' the ****** is pretty effective :p
RangerLG
I finished. Loved it. Want to see the dark side ending. Only issue I had is when I was fighting Vader and he was standing on that platform, he would occasionally freeze and I could not hit him. After a minute or two, he would start moving again and all the platforms would crash down and I would die. Anyone else have this issue?

Massiveterra
Not done with the game yet but here are my complaints so far... Enemies blocking when they obviously are not the terrible camera is the reason I die half the time Proxy shouldn't use Force powers
+Mystic MVC Posted September 30, 2008 MVC Share Posted September 30, 2008 Wow I had a lot of trouble with Proxy for some reason well the part when he turned into Darth Maul. After about five times I tweaked my strategy and everything worked out. When you are pulling down that ship, how long did it take for you. I went through 4 series (try to pull it down, tie fighters come, repeat) but it still didn't come down. What did I do wrong?
Kushan
It's because it starts to right itself when you stop pulling, so if you spend too long fighting the tie fighters, you basically need to start again (I think it's altitude never changes, but you lose pulling down time because you have to angle it first). There's an easy way to quickly fight the tie fighters though. Instead of grabbing that reactor core thing and throwing it at them, just run to the far left, look directly forward and tap the force pull button repeatedly. As the tie fighters fly past, he'll grab them and then as soon as he lets go, they fall out of the sky. Once you get the timing right, you can even throw one tie fighter into another and get two birds with one stone. Doing this, I was able to take them all out within a matter of seconds and thus pulled the destroyer down in about 3 goes.

I'll report back tomorrow. :p
-T- Member Posted September 30, 2008 Member Share Posted September 30, 2008 The part of the game where you gotta pull down the star destroyer was bloody annoying, and it seemed to be poorly coded as the on screen prompts were completely wrong and unhelpful. Took me about 7 goes to get that bit right :( This was a cool game but did offer almost nothing in replay value. I managed to buy it, finish it within 2 days and take it back for a full refund :D EB Games FTW
Massiveterra
As lousy as this might sound...I think it might have been just as fulfilling watching the cut scenes on youtube or gamevideos I'll give the story a 6.5 just because it accomplished what it needed to do, but didn't deliver an epic story like I anticipated. But I guess that's the way Star Wars goes, right?

Green_Eye
I absolutely LOVED this game! Up until 3 days ago when I got it I had heard nothing nor expected nothing of the game and as I played through I loved every bit of it. The gameplay mechanics work very well, the graphics are stunning(see art direction) and overall the story was *brilliant... I think people are expecting too much and over anticipating everything these days. 4.5/5 from me :) *Although you'd think Starkiller would start growing a few brain cells after like the 50th time Darth Vader betrays him? I mean Jesus the guy kept acting surprised every time and he looked like he was personally offended. Get a f---ing clue mate

Rappy Veteran Posted October 2, 2008 Veteran Share Posted October 2, 2008 I finally was able to crash that stupid star ship. What a pain! How many times it take till you did it? for me it was at least 9 battles with the fighters until I took it down.
Green_Eye
That was a royal pain in the arse!!! Weakest point of the game IMO.

A while...:p The prompts really screwed me up. They would go green so I would release whatever ways I had the sticks going but then it would go back to red. So basically they want you to keep holding that configuration well past just when it goes green before you can start pulling down again.

Yeah that threw me loads of times I would just let go and the ship would tilt and by the time I went back the fighters were back! It is the weakest part as Green_Eye said which is a shame because the game was awesome up to that part! Fighting Proxy was the best I thought because he was tough and nearly killed me! I didn't die on any boss but he nearly achieved it!

+Troll Subscriber¹ Posted October 3, 2008 Subscriber¹ Share Posted October 3, 2008 I thought it was a good game with a good story, but it took me less than 10 hours to beat it, which was disappointing. A rental a best unfortunately.
