remote desktop through nomachine client

Recommended Posts

hi.

i don't know if it's the right place for this, if it isn't then redirect me to the right place.

i've installed on 2 xp machines, the nomachine client.

and on another one a fedora core machine installed nomachine client node and server, just like the instructions.

for testing purposes i left the default key, and copied it to the client machines.

i've setup the connection to my pcs but i can't connect to any of them.

i'm getting the following error while trying to connect to the server (fedora core) from one of the xp machines.

the NX service is not available or the NX access was disabled on host:XXX.XXX.X.XX

checking the details i'm getting the following message

NX> 203 NXSSH running with pid: 2264

NX> 285 Enabling check on switch command

NX> 285 Enabling skip of SSH config files

NX> 285 Setting the preferred NX options

NX> 200 Connected to address: 192.168.1.3 on port: 22

NX> 202 Authenticating user: nx

NX> 208 Using auth method: publickey

NX> 204 Authentication failed.

i've checked the nxserver and it's running and ssh also.

what could cause this??

help would be appreciated

thanks in advance
