Digital M
What is this and how do I get it? I am assuming it displays what is currently playing. I really like both of these, but I have no idea how to get them. Are they compatible with iTunes or do I need a separate music player? I'm not sure if there were made for OSX. Let me know if you have any information. Thanks!
vaughn.
The one with the Amy Winehouse vinyl album artwork is an application called CoverSutra. Not sure about the one displaying Maxwell, though. Here's the CoverSutra website.

Snakehn
15 Euros just to see my cd covers on my desktop? F*** that!
vaughn.
Haha - are you talking about CoverSutra? This is still not worth the price, but it does do more than show the album artwork on your desktop. It also gives you an iTunes remote in the menu bar where you can click the icon and type in a library search term. It'll locate the album/artist/song in your library, and if you choose to play it, it'll automatically make a playlist in iTunes and start playing it without you having to pull up the iTunes window. You can choose to have CoverSutra stay in your dock, which you can click to see the track duration and info, rate the track, pause/skip/previous, control the shuffle and repeat, and increase/decrease the volume. Also, if you right-click the CoverSutra dock icon, you can see the track listing of the album you're listening to, which right-clicking the iTunes dock icon won't do. You'd have to pull up the iTunes window for that. So, it's basically an app for convenience so you don't have to pull up the whole iTunes window anytime you want to do something on it. I figured there had to be a topic about this already, but I'm new around here, so I wasn't sure where to look. :)

Digital M
Wow. Sometimes it's hard to find a really nice program that's completely free...and then there is firefox. The point is, most of the "free" programs listed on macrumors, were actually NOT free, but rather trial. CoverSutra has initially impressed me most, but now I am going to experiment and keep my open. I plan to get back to everyone with another new topic with my findings(oh, and pictures).
