rec_kris
Hello gang, I've recently started using styler which I'm loving so far. I've been using it paired with a theme called "Wobachi" I believe and love the way it gives my explorer windows a seamless appearance between the toolbars and the folder contents. I thought this was a Styler option, but the "seamless" effect goes away when I change visual styles. Does anyone know how to "fix" this? Or is it based on each visual style. If so, what element of the Vs needs to be changed? Thanks alot. (pic is smooth seamless on the left, not so on the right)
.tony
It's most likely the msstyle. The one on the right looks like it's part of the titlebar.
rec_kris
Basically I want to get rid of the greyish line in the right folder that is surrounding the items. I don't know if this would be in the standard window appearance dialog box though...
dreamz Veteran Posted October 2, 2008 Veteran Share Posted October 2, 2008 you need to edit the visual style. open it up in reshacker and modify the bitmaps.
rec_kris
there are hundreds of bitmaps. I don't know which one will be a tiny little gray line that surrounds the "Window" element... any help?
dreamz Veteran Posted October 3, 2008 Veteran Share Posted October 3, 2008 different styles use different labels, so i can't tell you exactly what it's called. there aren't that many, and most you can ignore (e.g., start button, etc.). another option is to use stylebuilder. that might be easier in this case. rec_kris
Thanks dreamz, I'll try stylebuilder. I've also messaged teh creator of the VS for more help.
dreamz Veteran Posted October 3, 2008 Veteran Share Posted October 3, 2008 it should be pretty easy. and if it isn't a bitmap (although i'm pretty sure it is), then it's a text value, in which case all you need to do is change the rgb value in the text file section in stylebuilder to the value that you want.
