So which type of DVD do you guys prefer? I only have one Fullscreen DVD, and I dont think that they are that bad. The one that I have is Austin Powers 3, and the only problems I had with it was mainly when Beyonce did the subtitle thing. Some words were cut off to make it Fullscreen, and that was kinda annoying. Besides that, it is nice to have the screen filled with the movie, but Widescreen is very good as well to see the whole movie, so my vote is I use both.

I have my PC hooked up to my 32" widescreen TV (which I very luckily managed to get for free) so definitely widescreen for me. Need to get a new graphics card though, it's such a pain swapping my TNT2Ultra and GeForce2 when I want to play games, the TNT is the only one with a TV out.

Unless you have a widescreen TV, full screen is better :p

I cant stand the full aspect one that are only half of a widescreen TV, they dont even make TVs that wide

that's not even a choice, even on my 14.1" LCD (laptop) i'd rather watching widescreen movies.... even tho the black bars and all that but full screen? please.... waste of time and waste of disks... images are all stretched and warped... plus so much info is cut out.... get real. I want the full movie! There's tons of threads like this one tho

I mistakenly got a fullscreen dvd and i still haven't watched it, anyone wanna trade a jurassic park 3 full screen for a wide screen?

Widescreen better. I've seen the difference between widescreen and full screen version of Star Wars Episode II and I thought widescreen have better viewing area. It's been widely used as standard setting for home viewing.

Widescreen. I do have some Fullscreen DVDs that I picked up by accident, but way more Widescreen DVDs for the living room Widescreen-TV. I don't mind watching them on my standard TV, either :p

depends on what I use to view the DVD, if I go to my girlfriend's house and watch a DVD, I bring a widescreen format because she has a plasma, but if i watch here at my house in my HDTV, I use fullscreen..
