knight_rider
Hello, I am currently setting up a User Profile for a child on my Vista Laptop using MMConsole. Things are going well except one thing that has me confused!! I want to restrict access he has to the HDD: 1. Read access to My Docs folder 2. Write access to only one folder on the drive (eg c:\kids) 3. Force the default Save as, and Open... folder to be the folder mentioned above (c:\kids) from any application. (so that no matter what application he runs paint, firefox etc etc it will only be able to open or save files to c:\kids) Any help would be appreciated as I am getting more and more confused from reading guides on the net that seem to suggest many different ways of doing this. Thanks Donald
redvamp128
Since no one has replied to your message-- You may want to let the kids use the guest account- http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300489 It has most of the features other than the ability to save to a specific folder-
Kami-
^ Do this, then login as administrator and give the account write access to the one folder you want ;)
